Stress & A Secret Project
So tonight was my last night at work! Yay! It takes a heavy load off of me. I have so much to do in school, and I must say that I've never been this much overwhelmed. I don't really wanna talk about it because I'm stressed enough as it is. Tommy pitched again Monday night, and did very well. He faced 4 batters and got 3 flyouts and 1 K. I'm so very proud of him. I'm working on a secret project for myself this coming week. Don't know how its' gonna work out, but we will see. I will let you know when the time is right. But I deserve, some me time to make ME happy so...more to come on that :) In the mean time your prayers would be greatly appreciated for my schooling and family, and tommy's baseball and his family. Thanking God everyday for my countless blessings! :D Love Ya'll!

Opening Day in Peal, Mississippi
Today is my last day in Mississippi to watch Tommy's Opening Week series. As you could imagine I'm sad. I'm always sad to leave him, but even more sad because I don't even know when I will see him again due to school schedules and his ball schedule. BUT, this weekend has been an amazing time with him as it always is. I got here Thursday around 10:30am and got to grab some lunch with him before it was off to the field to plunder the gift shop, and then he had to get ready for batting practice. So me and his mom went back to the hotel and watched some VeggieTales and some soaps and headed back over to the field to watch some BP. After BP was over, we headed to the Ticket Office to grab our tickets so we didn't have to wait in a line later, and then headed back to the hotel for a bit of a down time before the game.
We chilled out and then headed to the field. As the Opening Day ceremony began I couldn't help but get chills. Opening Day is like Christmas, it always comes once a year, and its so exciting! Baseball was in the air, and it also means the promise of summer and warmer weather to return. The game went well, although we lost. The second day here was the same routine. Tommy pitched and did well. This routine happened everyday. But being able to just chill was nice. Our room was wheelchair accessible so it was huge. Me and Mrs. P each had our own bed, and Tommy slept on the air mattress in the floor. We pretty much feel asleep every night to the sound of ESPN, and woke up to the sun in our faces.
It was great to be able to be back in Tommy's arms. It fun to see him wander out of the lockeroom with the face of a child after a little league game, searching the faces in the crowd for mine. He is an amazing man, I hear it everyday. But its nothing I haven't already heard :) I love him. Continue to pray for him and his big dreams, and me and my school, and both our families. Thanks so much. God Bless you all!

Craziness As Spring Semester Comes To A Close
School is kicking itself into high gear as the semester is coming to a close. Today I finished an article for the Atlanta Hawks, and wrote a tweleve page paper for Sports Marketing (ew) and took a Sports Sociology quiz. I'm pretty spent. I did however, take a three hour nap earlier in the eveing so I am just now winding down, and have class tomorrow from 8-12:45..not terribly bad. Tommy continues to be at Spring Training and hopefully they will let them leave on Easter and he can come visit me for a few hours. It is out of his way, but he insists (and I'm not complaining!) I have an awesome Football Scheduling Project to do in my Sports Leadership class. Its very detailed and crazy, but sounds fun, so I don't confuse you just know that for my project I have to represent Syracuse University as their Athletic Director and schedule 6 conference games, and 6 non-conference games, and try to make a decent amount of money, if thats possible in the Big East. Connor and Tommy are gonna help me with it because Syracuse just is not a football school, now if it were basketball we would be talking! haha! But thats what is going on so far. About to go to sleep soon...missing Tommy and so ready to see him! Please continue to keep me and him and both our families in your prayers! Thanks so much and God Bless each of you!

Back To School...Back To Work
Ok so back to school. Spring Break was so nice, and now...back to work. (long sigh) Graduation is one year away, and college has flew by, but on Mondays like today...it creeps. Finals are soon approaching and I have soooo many papers and tests coming up that I would like to cry. BUT I refuse to cry for Sports Managements sake. I will win this war and come out with a degree haha! Sorry, I just needed to motivate myself there for a minute. ANYWAYS, Spring Training is coming to a close, and for now, it looks like Tommy will end up in Mississippi, which is about six hours away from here, not a bad drive. I will be out there for Opening Day so far, and I am so excited to see him pitch again. If they give him enough time he is going to spend Easter with me which I would love!! Yesterday, I went to Hawks College Media Day, which is a big deal because only a handful of people were chosen to go throughout the state. Got to listen to some great speakers, watch the game from the press box, and sit in on the coach's press conference. It was a great experience and I loved hearing the speakers, very informational. My birthday is now 27 days away, and I can't wait. I feel SO OLD. Why you say...it's only 20. Well, I feel old because for my birthday I have asked for pant suits and a personalized padfolio. Haha, I guess thats what I get for graduating college ten days after I turn 21. I have to grow up sooner than the rest, which I don't mind, as long as the wrinkles don't come with it too!! But my birthday always excites me! Below I posted some pics from the Hawks College Media Day. Blog back soon! Take care everyone!

Spring Training

Just got back from Spring Training a few days ago. God granted me a safe trip there and back so all praise to Him. It was so great to see Tommy again!! I love baseball season. It is packed full of energy and excitement, and you can tell by the look in Tommy's eyes that he is so happy to be back on the mound. He is doing well so far, and his arm feels good. Please continue to pray that his health continues to do well. Spring Training is always so much fun to me. Orlando is a wonderful, and magical place to be, especially with the guys playing inside of Disney. My days were spent waking up, grabbing some breakfast, and heading to the field till a little after noon to watch stretch, practice, and games against the Tigers and Astros. I mostly watched, and read my book (Columbine), which Tommy didn't like since we are reading the same book and having a race to finish.

I'm winning by a few chapters by the way! The first day we grabbed some Steak & Shake with Fisher and B. Johnson, which was AMAZING, and our default restaurant while in Orlando. Then we played some putt-putt golf at Fantasia Gardens (Hardest Putt-Putt Golf Course in The World). No but really. I didn't dub it that, pro-golf people did, haha! After that some much needed sleep, and back to the fields. Also went to Downtown Disney for some jellybeans (our weakness!). Trust me, Jelly Belly's will be at our wedding...particularly Toasted Marshmellow, Watermelon, and the Soda ones that Tommy likes. Had a new experience at the restaurant Chevy's (not my deal) because apparantly nachos aren't what I thought they were, but Tommy made it better by asking the balloonist there to make me a pink penguin (my fav animal)!

We also visited the Gaylord Palms, which was beautiful inside, and promised we would stay a night when we brought our children there someday. Some other fun times were going to Whole Foods, Mama Nems', my FIRST EVER visit to Five Guys (amazing!), making friends with the security guards, and becoming the world's best hider at hide-and-go-seek. Spring Training is beautiful, and warmer than here, so beautiful. I love love love it there. But soon, it will be time to be moving on to a team, its looking like Mississippi as of now. But for now, I am back at home, about to get ready to finish up the semester. So hard to believe that in one year I will be graduating and only ten days into my twenty-first year of life. My 20th birthday is coming up soon :), pretty excited about that! But anyways, Tommy is pitching today. Prayers that he does well, and continues to shine on the field of baseball and on the field of God. Also keep us in your prayers about this summer. I will be taking on four classes this summer, and an eighteen hour load in the Fall so I can graduate next May. With four classes I will be in school every day (excluding weekends) allll summer long, so seeing Tommy will be much much harder than normal. So just pray for that, and hopefully he will move up to Gwinnett and make things much easier! I will leave you with a quote I heard yesterday, that I love.
