Opening Day in Peal, Mississippi

Today is my last day in Mississippi to watch Tommy's Opening Week series. As you could imagine I'm sad. I'm always sad to leave him, but even more sad because I don't even know when I will see him again due to school schedules and his ball schedule. BUT, this weekend has been an amazing time with him as it always is. I got here Thursday around 10:30am and got to grab some lunch with him before it was off to the field to plunder the gift shop, and then he had to get ready for batting practice. So me and his mom went back to the hotel and watched some VeggieTales and some soaps and headed back over to the field to watch some BP. After BP was over, we headed to the Ticket Office to grab our tickets so we didn't have to wait in a line later, and then headed back to the hotel for a bit of a down time before the game.
We chilled out and then headed to the field. As the Opening Day ceremony began I couldn't help but get chills. Opening Day is like Christmas, it always comes once a year, and its so exciting! Baseball was in the air, and it also means the promise of summer and warmer weather to return. The game went well, although we lost. The second day here was the same routine. Tommy pitched and did well. This routine happened everyday. But being able to just chill was nice. Our room was wheelchair accessible so it was huge. Me and Mrs. P each had our own bed, and Tommy slept on the air mattress in the floor. We pretty much feel asleep every night to the sound of ESPN, and woke up to the sun in our faces.

It was great to be able to be back in Tommy's arms. It fun to see him wander out of the lockeroom with the face of a child after a little league game, searching the faces in the crowd for mine. He is an amazing man, I hear it everyday. But its nothing I haven't already heard :) I love him. Continue to pray for him and his big dreams, and me and my school, and both our families. Thanks so much. God Bless you all!

Back At School

Wow! It's been so long since I blogged. So I'm moved in my apartment here back at school. All decorated...in pink AS ALWAYS :) I love it. It is definitely my home away from home and I love it being pink. Missed my room mates and so glad we are back together! I am active in the BCM again, and it is great fun. We have a fall festival coming up and I will be going as Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, and I am super excited about that. Pictures to be posted for sure on that! I am actively looking for a job, and have been since July. I had an interview with Buckle at the mall yesterday and should hear from that in the next few days (fingers definitely crossed on that!) 40% discount if I work there, and I definitely would love the clothes, haha. This month is pretty good, only two tests and fall break is right around the corner. After Halloween I know that I will be in full fledged Christmas mood. (I am already!). Tommy will be here in November, and I already am trying to book my flight to California, so expensive :-P. Yesterday was our 14 months, it seems time has passed by so fast. Distance is not fun. That is for sure. I am so ready for him to be back here. I need a date night, haha. Well I am about to get up, get some food, get ready for TNL at the BCM tonight, and head that way. Hope everyone had a blessed day!

Rome Braves & Sweetdreams

Well today, I finally got caught back up on my rest and slept till 1:30pm. I know, terrible of me isn't it. But, it is so hard to wake up with the comfort of your sheets wrapped around you like a cocoon. I finally got up and spent some time with my grandmother, and returned home to shower. I went to the Rome Braves game...alone. Everyone was busy, but I didn't mind the peaceful drive up there by myself. I never even got to my seat, but spent time with season ticket holders sharing baseball stories and gossip. I love talking about baseball and being at the field was just like old times. It is so great to go back and be greeted by season ticket holders, ushers, and the fans. It means a lot to me that they remember who I am, and like me enough to approach me. I love to hear how their lives are going, as well as share stories about my own. The Braves ended up and won which is always a good thing! I stayed after with my friends and talked to the players, most of whom I didn't know, but they knew me as "Tommy's Girlfriend", which doesn't bother me at all. They all had great things to say about him and thats always something that puts a smile on my face. I stayed a little bit longer and headed on back home, exhausted from the heat. I immediately did my nightly ritual of talking to Tommy on Skype for some time, and read the Bible together which is a great ending to each and every one of my days. It is also a time that brings us together even more and I love it. We said our goodnights and he of course being tired from getting his fifth save drifted off to sleep. Me however, I can hardly ever sleep, but I am hoping the sand man will come soon and I will drift off to sleep. I told Tommy I would meet him in my dreams...I guess better go...I'm sure he is waiting on me :)
