Opening Day in Peal, Mississippi

Today is my last day in Mississippi to watch Tommy's Opening Week series. As you could imagine I'm sad. I'm always sad to leave him, but even more sad because I don't even know when I will see him again due to school schedules and his ball schedule. BUT, this weekend has been an amazing time with him as it always is. I got here Thursday around 10:30am and got to grab some lunch with him before it was off to the field to plunder the gift shop, and then he had to get ready for batting practice. So me and his mom went back to the hotel and watched some VeggieTales and some soaps and headed back over to the field to watch some BP. After BP was over, we headed to the Ticket Office to grab our tickets so we didn't have to wait in a line later, and then headed back to the hotel for a bit of a down time before the game.
We chilled out and then headed to the field. As the Opening Day ceremony began I couldn't help but get chills. Opening Day is like Christmas, it always comes once a year, and its so exciting! Baseball was in the air, and it also means the promise of summer and warmer weather to return. The game went well, although we lost. The second day here was the same routine. Tommy pitched and did well. This routine happened everyday. But being able to just chill was nice. Our room was wheelchair accessible so it was huge. Me and Mrs. P each had our own bed, and Tommy slept on the air mattress in the floor. We pretty much feel asleep every night to the sound of ESPN, and woke up to the sun in our faces.

It was great to be able to be back in Tommy's arms. It fun to see him wander out of the lockeroom with the face of a child after a little league game, searching the faces in the crowd for mine. He is an amazing man, I hear it everyday. But its nothing I haven't already heard :) I love him. Continue to pray for him and his big dreams, and me and my school, and both our families. Thanks so much. God Bless you all!
